    FAQ Contact Services About Us

Q: Are colon cleansings completely safe?

A: Yes. In fact, with the new Toxygen equipment (an oxygen equipped colon cleansing machine, treatments are much safer than the common enema.

Q: How does a colon cleansing compare to an enema?

A: An enema only bathes the lower part of the colon whereas a colon cleansing bathes the entire length of the colon, approximately 5 to 51/2 feet. A colon cleansing is many more times effective, according to learned centenarian Dr. Norman Walker, who says, "One colonic is equivalent to 30 enemas. "

    Q: Do treatments hurt?

A: No. In fact, with the advanced Toxygen equipment, treatments are refreshing and relaxing.

Q: How much of the intestines are actually cleansed during a colon cleansing?

A: During a Treatment we are actually able to bathe the full length of the colon, but we are not able to cleanse the small intestine. The buildup in the small intestine is cleared with the help of the Intestinal Cleanser and other nutritional aids taken orally during a series of cleansings.

Q: Should I see my doctor before having a colon cleansing?

A: If there is something organically or internally wrong, it's always a good idea to consult your doctor. However, since colon cleansings professionally administered with the new Toxygen equipment are safer than home enemas, a medical examination is not required except for those who are ill.

Q: Is there any possibility of bacterial or viral contamination from prior use of the colonic equipment?

A: That is a very timely question. Recently, the Toxygen Company adapted their machine to utilize pre-sterilized, disposable hoses and speculums. Since they are used only once, there is absolutely no danger of contamination.

Q: How long does a treatment take?

A: About 45 minutes, but you should plan for an hour stay.

Q: Does having a menstrual period at the time of the cleanse have any effect on the treatment?

A: No, in fact it's usually a good time to receive a treatment since your body is already cleansing. Your flow will not interfere with the success of the treatment.

Q: What should I do to prepare for a colon cleansing?

A: Refrain from eating before the cleansing, be as relaxed as possible, and maintain a positive, cheerful attitude.

Q: Will I experience any intestinal discomfort or fatigue after the cleansing?

A: Usually not, but since the cleansing will stir up a lot of old debris and toxins; you might experience some minor nausea or fatigue. Should any discomfort occur, I recommend resting and applying a warm heating pad to the abdomen. A mild vegetable broth or peppermint tea is usually soothing at this time. The discomfort will usually pass within 24 hours.

Q: Do I need to use acidophilus after a colon cleansing because the treatment washes out flora from the colon?

A: I recommend using acidophilus, but not because the treatment has washed out the flora. Colon cleansing doesn't wash out flora. I urge the use of acidophilus because it is an opportunity to improve the bacterial balance in the colon. The best method is to implant the flora rectally the evening after you have your treatments. I recommend drinking acidophilus during the cleansing program and then for 2 weeks after treatments.

Q: Can I work after a colon cleansing?

A: Certainly. You can work just as you would after a regular
    Bowel movement.
